Fairly Entertaining

Yesterday I spent the evening at the Huntingdon County Fair!

I got myself some chocolate-covered cheesecake on a stick.
Nicki got some deep fried Kool-Aid which turned out to be Kool-Aid flavored dough.
We saw animals
Horsies.
Animals.
Cows.*
Animals.
Bunnies!
And more animals.
And goats
Josh and Kade got 80 tries to win a gold fish and got one.
He named it "Small One"
And we found Kylie! Even though we planned the trip so that we could visit her there and was the whole point in going, by the time we finally worked out which day we'd go we forgot to tell her. As fate would have it, her phone was deadsies all day, but we remembered where her family's camper was last year and were able to find her the old-fashioned way.
Kylie shows off the photos she took of the demolition derby.
*While checking out the cows, I was walking around not really looking where I was going. As I turned my head I found that I was walking directly into where a cow was walking and pooping (yes simultaneously) and completely lost it. Josh fully enjoyed my freak out and laughed and laughed (and proceeded to tell everyone else what happened) and a girl nearby, who did not grow up in a suburb, just shook her head at me. I deemed it the worst thing that has ever happened to me, and I didn't even step in it. No, I did not take a picture.

  1. I am officially more confused than ever about American fair food. I thought I'd seen it all after I went to the Denver food festival thingy last year, which included deep fried pickles. LOL NOPE. Deep fried Koolaid.

  2. I was new and crazy to us as well. I really had no idea what "deep fried Kool-Aid" would be because how do you fry a liquid? I did not bother to try it.

  3. I didn't know they had deep-fried kool aid. That's weird. Also, I didn't know you took a pic of me. Not my best angle. Ha. I miss that camera, but it's a matter of making sure I got the money in the bank to order it, so YAY. P.S.

    Yay! :)

  4. Our county fair has chocolate-covered bacon (not really good at all), but did not have chocolate-covered cheesecake. That sounds delicious!
